Research Background
Reza has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry with 19 years of experience in research in the fields of organic synthetic, materials and polymer chemistry (with 144 published papers). He is holding full professor of organic chemistry rank at University of Isfahan, Iran. Also, he has one year research experience as visiting professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Harvard University working under Professor E. J. Corey. Moreover, he had served as research associate at University of Arkansas for two years before joining Abbaspourrad lab at Cornell University. He has supervised more than 50 graduate students (Master’s and Ph.D.) and Postdocs in the fields of organic, material and polymer chemistry. He also, was a consultant of pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Current Research:
Designing and preparing of Covalent Organic frameworks (COFs), and hyper cross-link polymers (HCPs), as scaffolds for the water treatment, purifications, catalysis, CO2-Fixation, and Li-ion batteries.
